Anushka Sharma who turned 28 on Sunday celebrated her birthday on the sets of her home production, Phillauri. Her brother Karnesh was present at the overnight shoot when the unit surprised the birthday girl at midnight.

A source from the sets informed Mirror, “Anushka had a solo shoot that day so her co-stars weren't around. We are shooting in Barnala in Punjab. At midnight, the unit arranged for a cake, so we stopped the shoot and had a brief celebration. Anushka was happy and surprised but work comes first for her so we resumed shooting which continued late into the night.“
