British actor Sir Ian McKellen, popularly known for his roles in Lord of the Rings as Gandalf and as Magneto in X-Men ­ Days Of Future Past, is coming to Mumbai. He will inaugurate the seventh edition of an LGBT film festival at a theatre in South Mumbai at the end of this month. He said in a statement, “On my first visit to Mumbai, I am very pleased to attend the opening night of the festival. Increasingly, in India too, the film industry has matured, treating gay people with the same seriousness as straight characters.“ McKellen is also scheduled to come here as part of 'Shakespeare Lives on Film', on the occasion of the Bard's 400th death anniversary.
