While Bejoy Nambiar is gearing up for his next, a remake of Mani Ratnam's Agni Natchathiram, with Vicky Kaushal and Harshvardhan Rane (Mirror, May 11), he has been prepping up for another project which will take off simultaneously. And for this one, he reunites with his Wazir leading man, Farhan Akhtar, who has come on board as lead actor and producer. The duo had reportedly discussed the idea while working on their last collaboration.

A source close to the development informed Mirror, “Bejoy had written the script years ago but the film is taking shape only now. It's his dream project. The initial plan was to start this before the Agni Natchathiram remake but the team is yet to zero in on the female lead. Deepika Padukone is among the actresses who have been approached. The makers are waiting for her to return from the xXx: Return of Xander Cage shoot. Meanwhile, Farhan is set to head to the US to shoot for Nisha Pahuja's upcoming documentary on the girl child so it'll be a while before Bejoy's film goes on the floors.“

When contacted, Bejoy and Farhan's spokesperson chose not to comment.
