MS Dhoni and wife Sakshi dropped in for a dekko of sis Aripta's son on Monday

Salman Khan had some special guests at his Bandra apartment late on Monday. India's ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni with wife Sakshi, Praful Patel's daughter, Poorna, and two other close friends dropped by for a peek at the actor's sister, Arpita and her husband, Aayush Sharma's son, Ahil, who arrived on March 30 and went home on April 5 in a black BMW. The party continued till 4 am.

A guest informed Mirror that it was a select gathering, unlike Sallu's usual big bashes. The actor, ever the gracious host, stepped out to personally welcome the guests. Once they were inside, MS and SK discussed everything from films to music, as also their common passion for fitness. "Salman's dad, Salim Khan, an avid cricket buff, also had a long conversation with Captain Cool during which they discussed the game in detail. Dhoni and Sakshi briefly visited Arpita, but since it was quite late in the night, the couple didn't want to disturb the baby who was fast sleep," adds the source.

Dinner was mostly vegetarian food as some of the guests were observing navratra. "Also, Salman kicked off the Delhi leg of his wrestler biopic on Tuesday and was on a special diet. Dhoni too is busy with the ongoing IPL. There was no alcohol on the menu," the source signs off.

Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is currently in town for the ongoing Indian Premier League, was spotted at Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra on Monday night. He was seen driving in with wife Sakshi and politician Praful Patel’s daughter Poorna at around 8 pm.

Says a source, “The trio came in around 8 pm and partied with Salman and other friends till 4 am. Mahi and Sakshi also brought gifts for the actor’s newborn nephew, Ahil.”

A source close to the actor reveals that Dhoni and Salman hit it off at Anant Ambani’s 21st birthday bash. “The two connected really well when they recently met at Anant’s party and Bhai invited both Dhoni and Sakshi over for dinner at his place. The actor also showed the teaser and some rushes of his upcoming film Sultan to them. The cricketer and his wife bonded well with the Khan family and it was sweet of them to bring gifts for Ahil,” says the source. Apparently, Sallu has shown the first look of Sultan to family members and a few friends.

Meanwhile, we also hear that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli made a quiet visit to the Khan residence together last week. Says a source, “The two were invited for dinner as well and had a good time with Salman and his family.” For some time now, speculations have been rife that Salman played mediator between the couple. Earlier last week, Kohli and Sharma, who broke up earlier this year, was spotted coming out of a high-end restaurant in Bandra after a secret dinner date sparking rumours of a reconciliation.
