Filmmaker Karan Johar is intrigued by the recent movement of 'Start-up India' in the country. He is even hooked on to the spunky and entertaining show Shark Tank on COLORS INFINITY, where aspiring entrepreneurs from around the world pitch their business models to a panel of investors and persuade them to invest money in their idea.

Says Karan, who is a co-curator on the channel, “To have great ideas and take them all the way to fruition is quite a feat and it is very heartening to see young entrepreneurs around the world doing this with such élan. Look at the the world with start-ups and new-age entrepreneurs doing so well. Even our television reflects the current atmosphere with shows like Shark Tank which I'm simply hooked on to. I think young people with ideas and looking to be entrepreneurs can learn so much from the show.“

Here are some tips he gives on how to face the Sharks and navigate the business world...

ADAPT
There will always be friction if one does not bend ways and mend as one moves on. The best way to improve your skills is to be flexible but persistent towards your goal.

STUMBLE
Hesitation is not always bad. A moment of hesitation only pushes you to cross check your plans and actions. Hence, before you take the big leap, never forget to stumble, for it is nothing but recapping your true worth to your own heart.

NETWORK
Know what the others are doing to succeed. Also, know what more lies in the market. Remember, there is always room for betterment and newer ideas.

MOVE ON
It's okay to fail, but it is not alright to stay disappointed forever. One must learn to move on with the current, hoping for a win in their future endeavours.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF
Success is not permanent and should only be used as a measure to grow even bigger. Hence, every successful endeavour should be challenged for even better outcomes in future.

Shark Tank airs on COLORS INFINITY.
