But at times, actors are linked simply because they have grown up in and around Bollywood circles. The rumours doing the rounds are that Arjun Kapoor, known to be quite a ladies' man, is getting close to Athiya Shetty, and the two are apparently spending quality time together. However, a source close to the actress categorically dismissed the speculation, stating, “Athiya has been close to Arjun's sister Anshula long before she entered the industry. They have known each other for years and they meet up practically every week. They are good friends. Athiya knows Arjun because of Anshula and not vice versa. He is Anshula's brother for Athiya and nothing else.“

It was said that the two were spotted together. Our source clarified, “They were at a photographer's recent exhibition with other friends as well. It was not just the two of them. Pictures were clicked while they waited for their cars, and the media hinted that they were seeing each other. It's really bizarre. Her only close friends in the industry are Sooraj Pancholi, Tiger Shroff and his sister Krishna.“
