BOMBAY TIMES (March 17, 2016)

Unlike the Hollywood Oscars, this was a presentation of the best in the world of food. We're talking about the Times Food and Nightlife Awards 2016 that was held in Mumbai on Tuesday night. Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, who were the chief guests, kick-started the evening. Along with Times Group MD Vineet Jain, they unveiled the two Times Food Guides and the Times Nightlife Guide, edited by food critic Rashmi Uday Singh.

The ceremony, held at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, saw beauty queens, film and television stars and biggies from the culinary world in attendance. Host for the evening Anuj Gurwara kept everyone entertained with his jokes as over 80 awards were given out in various categories including fine dine, casual dine, nightlife and more. Guests also relished the delicious cuisine, ranging from Pan-Asian to dum pukht style, Continental and Mexican.
