He's the man who performed a split on two motorcycles in his very first film Phool Aur Kaante, earning the title of being one of the best action heroes in Bollywood.

One would have imagined that the years have perhaps mellowed Ajay Devgn down. But that's certainly not the case. He still likes to play with fire and insists on doing his stunts himself. Of course, there are certain perils involved with such daredevil acts.

Just a few days ago, the actor was shooting for his upcoming directorial Shivaay, on a busy street in Sofia, Bulgaria. The entire street had been cordoned off for the shoot and traffic curbs were set up because the actor was seated on the bonnet of a car and was involved in a crucial highspeed chase that involved several cars. Of course, not everything goes according to plan. During one of the takes, suddenly a car made an unscheduled entry into the shooting area and hit the vehicle on which Ajay was sitting. A unit source says, “It was a bad crash. Sir was seated on the bonnet and was not prepared for a car to suddenly come driving in, especially because the area was cordoned off. The actor was saved in the nick of time by a crew member. The impact of the car that crashed into the shooting vehicle was so hard, that it got badly damaged. The entire unit was shaken because it was one of those moments that only God could have helped. A slight misjudgment and he could have been hurt. Thank God, that the technical crew was sharp and moved him quickly from the bonnet.“

On another note, Ajay will be reaching Delhi tonight to receive the Padma Shri on Monday.
