Mirror was the first to reveal (January 30) that Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are set to roll with the sequel to their 2013 surprise hit, Fukrey, in August. While the unit has started to prep up, Varun 'Choocha' Sharma has landed another gig. The actor will be re-uniting with his Dilwale co-star, Kriti Sanon, mid-March, for a love story. He will be seen as Sushant Singh Rajput's buddy, a quirky third wheel in the triangle, in producer Dinesh Vijan's directorial debut. There will also be a song featuring the trio.

Choocha who had planned to shed those extra kilos before Fukrey 2, is now going to keep his chubby-buddy look. He will go on a marathon workout and rigorous diet before the second instalment begins. “The film was earlier titled Raabta, and was to be co-directed by Homi Adajania and Dinesh, featuring Sushant and Alia Bhatt. But the project has been revamped and a new title may be announced soon. Varun was finalised for the part last month,“ a source informed Mirror.

The 26-year-old-actor who is presently in Chandigarh, couldn't divulge any details but raved about Kriti. “She's been 'brozoned' by me, she's a chilled out girl. We have the Delhi-Punjabi connection which helped us bond during Dilwale. She has started prep for her part as the happy-go-lucky girl-next-door,“ he reveals.
