The actor will start shooting for the second season of The Wachowski's sci-fi drama this March

In 2015, Purab Kohli made his international TV debut in the Netflix sci-fi drama Sense8. Now, Mirror has learnt that come March and he, along with co-star Tina Desai, will head to Berlin to start shooting for the show's second season. Meanwhile, he will be flying in and out of Mumbai as he wraps up the final schedule of Rock On 2 and starts preparing for Nikkhil Advani's next, in which he plays the villain.

Sense8, directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski (of Matrix fame), has been critically acclaimed for its diverse characters and compelling narrative. "If you've seen the first season, you will be expecting the second one to be a cracker! With Netflix now available in India, a lot more people will get to see it. I'm looking forward to work with the Wachowskis again. Their writing is pure genius!" exclaims the actor.

The series follows a group of people around the world who are mysteriously linked through their minds and must find a way to survive as they are being hunted. Purab plays the recurring character of Rajan Rasal, the fiance of Kala Dandekar (played by Tina Desai), a Mumbai-based pharmacist. Their story centres on Kala's struggle to obey her traditional parents and marry the man of their choice.

Purab was in the UK to spend time with fiancee, Lucy Payton, and their new born daughter.
