Nimrat Kaur is all set to
fly off to Vancouver for a couple of months to shoot for
Manoj Night Shyamalan's American psychological thriller, Wayward Pines.
This was a script she read in the car when busy with her sister
Rubaina's wedding. “It's a mysterious part.
I play an architect who discovers who she really is towards the end of
the series. It's not a space I've explored and I'm excited to be paired
opposite Jason Patric. I've signed up for two seasons, Season 2 and 3,“
she informs.
With the Akshay Kumar-starrer Airlift doing well, won't this break her tenuous hold over Bollywood? “I'll keep coming back in between. They work fast there with incredibly strict deadlines. I got the job without an audition and my contract in two days. It's perfectly timed because I will do my next Bollywood film only later in the year,“ says the actress. Nimrat, who featured in the American series, Homeland, earlier is happy with 'colour blind casting'. “We are two billion people, it's time people notice us, not just in the US, but in Europe too,“ she assets, admitted that Shymalan and she had a Skype chat the other day. “He made some interesting observations about my work.. I love the genres he explores.“
Airflift is still running in theatres and Nimrat is all smiles, “My grandmother recently watched the film, she hadn't even watched The Lunchbox.“
