After returning to the director's chair for Shivaay, Ajay Devgn is now all set to lend his voice to the action-drama's title track. “I discussed the idea with him in January before he left to shoot in Bulgaria. Ajay has a great ear for music and this song is the heart of the film. He loved the concept and agreed to sing,“ informs Mithoon, who has been working on Shivaay's music and background score for a year. A few international artistes will also lend their voice to the song. “Since the film's inspiration is Lord Shiva, the song needed to emanate power, charisma and a certain intensity. I couldn't think of anyone but Ajay to sing it,“ reasons the 31-year-old musician, adding that Ajay gave him complete creative freedom to experiment with the music and would drop by his studio late at nights to discuss it.

Mithoon informs that the Shivaay soundtrack has a contemporary feel to it. “We have worked extremely hard to create the right sound. I haven't made anything like this in the last 10 years,“ he promises. Once Ajay is back from Bulgaria, they will spend some time in the studio rehearsing the song before going for the final recording towards the end of the month.Mithoon admits that he was really keen to bring Ajay behind the mic. “Ajay and I share a great rapport which is why he feels comfortable singing for me. He is so passionate about this home production that he'll do anything that's in its best interest.“
