The year 2016 has started on a busy note for the pretty Shraddha Kapoor. Close on the heels of a top filmmaker announcing her name for a romantic film with her ex boyfriend Aditya Roy Kapur, hit filmmaker Mohit Suri (of Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain fame) has signed the petite actress for Half Girlfriend. The film is based on Chetan Bhagat's coming-of-age novel of the same name. There are three interesting aspects about this project. This is Shraddha's third film with Mohit. This is her second movie that is adapted from a book, the earlier one being Haider. And this is the first time she will play an affluent Delhi-based girl.

The actress was unavailable for comment but a source indicated that Shraddha is super excited about the development and has signed on the dotted line.
