It's confirmed. Deepika Padukone will start shooting for XXX : The Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel. While there has been a lot of speculation on her Hollywood debut ever since she and Vin posted their pictures on social media, the film's director D J Caruso confirmed the news the other day, saying “She starts (shooting) sometime in February.“

Sharing a picture of one of the locations in the Dominican Republic, he wrote, “Xander will travel this road,“ hashtagging the movie's title and his lead actors. All praise for the Caribbean country, he added, “Fantastic location bustling with energy and cinematic opportunities.“

Deepika and Vin had kept in touch even after she had to opt out of Fast and Furious 7 as she had committed dates to Ram Leela. The new XXX franchisee also stars Asian action stars, Jet Li and Tony Jaa, besides mixed martial artist and UFC fighter, Conor McGregor.
