Airlift is a touching and an engaging film that is bound to impress each and every viewer. The balance of keeping the film as real as possible but at the same time making sure it has a mainstream appeal is brilliantly done…kudos to the makers! Akshay Kumar showcases a new avatar and wins hearts. I have always loved his acts and it used to sadden me that a section of moviegoers used to look down upon him, especially due to his choice of movies. But today the scenario has changed and it’s a proud feeling when Akshay Kumar commands respect from all quarters! Nimrat Kaur is a stunner but not merely an eye candy. She has a significant role and proves yet again that she is a very talented performer. Prakash Belawadi as usual is terrific. Inaamulhaq plays a unique role with elan. Kumud Mishra once again rocks. Purab Kohli is a real surprise – great role and great performance. Songs are smartly incorporated in the film and add to the impact, especially Tu Bhoola Jise. The tricolor shot comes at a great point. This is definitely a must watch film!
My rating - **** out of 5!
