The success of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom have proven that biopics have an audience and more so if the biopic is based on a sportsperson who has been a world leader. While there have been many suggestions in the past of a biopic to be made on the world's leading badminton player Saina Nehwal, we have exclusively learnt that the rights for making the biopic have finally been taken. The film is now being written by acclaimed filmmaker Amole Gupte who will also be directing it. We learnt that Amole met Saina and her family in Hyderabad on Tuesday, and she filled him in with details of her life's journey apart from feeding him home-made aloo parathas.
