This is a big one. Akshay
Kumar, Bollywood's very own khiladi, has been signed to play the baddie
in filmmaker Shankar's Robot 2, which will also release in Tamil as
Enthiran 2. Yes, the film is a bilingual and has Tamil Nadu's cinema
icon, Rajinikanth, in the lead along with Amy Jackson.
Enthiran 2 is touted as India's most expensive movie at this point of time. The makers of the film were rumoured to be in talks with Aamir Khan for the antagonist's role. Later, they got acquainted with the Terminator star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and tried to rope him as the villain.
Our source says, “Just two days ago, talks with Arnie failed because there was extensive paperwork involved in getting the ex-Governor of California to come and work in India.“
Akshay flew to Chennai last evening to be a part of the puja and meet Shankar and the rest of the cast. He then flew back to Mumbai on a private charter.
Just before he boarded the flight to Chennai, Akshay was asked about his first-ever meeting with Rajinikanth, to which he refused to comment.A source added, “Hold on for an announcement from the producers.“
