He was in the sixth standard when his father started conducting the musical nights with stalwarts like Mohd. Rafi and Manna Dey. “The first show will be held in the US next year, followed by one in Dubai and another in Bangalore. Songs like “Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai“, “Saara Zamana Haseeno Ka Deewana“, “Dil Kya Kare“ and “Mungda“, will be on the playlist,“ says the 60-year-old musician.
Rajesh's star nephew Hrithik, who has dabbled in playback with “Senorita“ (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) and “Kites in the Sky“ (Kites) could belt out some family oldies. “You may have heard Hrithik sing “Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan“ from Yaarana at many shows. He has a connection with that song and his rendition is awesome. He is busy shooting Mohenjo Daro, I'll discuss the idea with him when he has some time,“ says Rajesh who has scored the music for all the Rakesh Roshan's films fea turing Hrithik.
The trio's next is a romantic film. “The script is in its final stage,“ he reveals. Is there a fourth Krrish in the offing too? “They aren't keen on a sequel, but they might give it a thought if something exciting comes up,“ he signs off.
