Rani Mukerji was hospitalised over the weekend. The actress, who is pregnant, needed medical attention after the recent festive celebrations left her exhausted.

An onlooker says, "Rani did not look sick, but extremely tired. She has been advised bed rest. The actress had been left weary after attending some industry Diwali bashes."

The star's spokesperson confirms, "Rani Mukerji was admitted to a hospital as the doctor felt she needed to rest for a few days under medical supervision. She was being discharged, but chose to rest it the hospital for a few more days as the baby's room is being prepared at home and she wanted to be away from the dust and noise. She is perfectly fine and all is well."

The actress wed YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra in April 2014. The actress has been avoiding media glare in recent times due to her pregnancy. She even chose to skip the Durga Puja celebrations this year
