(Crisp) Movie Review: YOUTH by FENIL SETA

Youth is a fine fare and attempts to tell a beautiful story. The execution is neat and decent and gets creative in few sequences that make for a nice watch. The film is shot in some stunning locations of Swiss Alps. And what a beautiful resort that is, where the film takes place! I hope I get to go there once in my lifetime! Sadly, the film drops a bit in the second half and a sudden development in the pre-climax is unconvincing. Michael Caine is terrific, Harvey Keitel leaves a mark while Rachel Weisz and Paul Dano are scene stealers. Jane Fonda and Maradona are damn good in their special appearances. Despite the minuses, it’s worth watching for the performances, message and visuals!
My rating - *** out of 5!
