Bollywood card parties are legendary. Why? Simply because they have their own stories to tell. So much happens in one night at each of these superstar bashes that if someone were to write a script on them, they would have a masaledaar account peppered with anecdotes of the kind you may otherwise just be left thirsting for. Why again? Oh, because besides the usual card game, who won how much, blah, blah, Diwali parties are marked with a lot of revelry. Since most of these get-togethers are strictly out of bounds for the paparazzi, there are innumerable hushed accounts of stars letting their hair down.

This year, the leader of the Diwali bash routine will be Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna who will have their celebration on November 9. Text messages have been sent to guests who have to keep their date free. Tusshar tells us that his parents will host their regular Diwali card party on November 10. And the industry grapevine has it that the Bachchans will have their mela a day later.

One also hears that a couple of more impromptu get-togethers are planned in the homes of superstars whose kith and kin have films to promote this season.
