Ajit Deol, who is Dharmendra's favourite brother and who lives in the same bungalow as the actor has been ill for a while now. Two days, the doctors attending to the veteran were deeply concerned about his failing health. When Sunny Deol heard that his uncle's condition was far from good, the actor wept like a baby. He was even contemplating calling off the shoot of his latest directorial venture. However, because the cast and crew were on their way to a location in South Mumbai, Sunny went ahead and shot.

Ajit is Abhay Deol's father. Family sources say that Sunny has always been very close to his uncle.
