KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON had a good first week of 38.75 crore nett and also held steady on the weekdays. The film had a drop on Tuesday but stabilized on the next two days. Basically the film has covered its production and marketing costs with just the first week share from its India theatrical business.

The film was excellent in East Punjab and good in Delhi/UP, Rajasthan, CI, Bihar and Gujarat. Maharashtra and CP Berar did average business while the rest were on the lower side. the first week numbers are similar to a film like DRISHYAM but has less than one third of the cost of that film.

The film is a HIT and the second week will tell if it can go further. the way the film trended on the weekdays it looked a 60 crore nett grosser but the release of SINGH IS BLIING will stop it in its tracks and will probably have to settle for a 50 crore nett plus finish. The holiday will on its second Friday will help but the advantage will be in lakhs as film has 2-3 shows on average at multiplexes.

KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON dropped in most of India apart from North. The collections were decent in North India with it contributing around 50% of the all India business. The collections were around 1.50 crore nett on the eighth day.

The drop is 80% from the first day and the growth if any will be minimal over the weekend. The film was hugely affected by the release of Singh Is Bling especially as SINGH IS BLIING has done well in the same markets as KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON. The business of KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON is around 40 crore nett after eight days.

Despite the drop in business the film has done very well and should finish at around the 48-50 crore nett mark.
