Many filmmakers have tried to make a film on Charles Sobhraj in the past, but no one has ever managed. Prawaal Raman's crime thriller Main Aur Charles is the first film to be ever made on the life of Charles. And if you are wondering how that happened, Charles Sobhraj gives the answer. We were the first to tell you how Randeep Hooda managed to meet the charming don in Kathmandu jail on October 25. Amongst the other things that transpired between the two that we reported yesterday, Charles told Randeep, “I have not given anyone the rights to make a film on me and I consulted my lawyer in France and tried to stop you. But because you had taken the rights from Amod Kant (the investigating officer who investigated the Charles Sobhraj case), I knew I could not do anything. That was a good move on your part.“ Randeep told Charles, “Charles, we learnt it from you.“ Charles just looked at Randeep in silence and gave his charming smile.
