Bridge Of Spies is sort of Steven Spielberg’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is inspired from true events and tells a very intriguing tale of the late 50s Cold War tension between USA and Soviet Union. The detailing is excellent and the film immediately transports you back to in time. The script is amazing and Spielberg manages to engage despite the fact that the incident is not thrilling or edge of the seat drama. Yet, there’s never a dull moment in this 141 minute long film. Tom Hanks as always comes out with flying colours. Mark Rylance however is a surprise. This one is an Oscar-winning or at least Oscar nomination worthy performance! Don’t miss this yet another gem from Mr Steven Spielberg!
My rating - **** out of 5!
