Sonu Sood will soon be seen as King Harshvardhan in Xuan Zang, an Indo-Chinese film based on a Chinese scholar who chronicled an important part of Indian history in his works. The actor, who has already shot a portion in Aurangabad's Daulatabad Fort, says, “Ever since I worked in Jodhaa Akbar, period films have fascinated me. The regal costumes, the stunts, the detailing et al look magical on screen.“ The actor's mother was a history professor and some of her books came in handy for his research for the part.
