Raj Kundra gifted Shilpa Shetty a penthouse in Central London when she turned 35. Two years later, the British-born entrepreneur presented his wife with a duplex in Noida on their anniversary. Last year, he brought in the day in by booking a luxury apartment on the 19th floor of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. And this year, (Mirror, June 10) he jetted down 30 friends and family members to Sveti Stefan, an island in the Balkan nation of Montenegro, for a three-day celebration to bring in her 40th birthday.

And Shilpa is returning the favour for Raj Kundra's 40th birthday. The UK-based businessman, returned from a visit to Ukraine to find his better half, bags packed with tickets to Maldives in hand. Since beaches are his favourite getaway, she slipped into a blue bikini and described the place as “heaven on earth only for my hero, my love, Birthday boy, Raj Kundra...“.

The two went underwater diving and then hired a boat and went night sea fishing. “We caught some really big fish and ended the session with some friendly shark feeding too,“ says Shilpa, who returns to Mumbai on Saturday to bring home Lord Ganesha for a 10-day celebration. “I also caught a really pretty fish but as it was struggling for breath on the hook, I felt guilty and let it off,“ the actress says, adding that the couple took a submarine ride and went parasailing for the first time ever, with son Viaan joining them. “It was just the three of us, up there in the air!“ she exclaims.

Food was also a major treat. “We tried the biggest lobster burger available in Maldives and licked it clean,“ she says, smacking her lips.
