HERO had a decent first day as it grossed  around 6.50-6.75 crore nett. The collections were better in the mass circuits with multiplex dominated areas contributing less. The collections in CP Berar, Rajasthan and Bihar were good. Mumbai circuit managed to touch the 2 crore nett mark which is pretty good.

Despite the film having newcomers it has beaten many major films this year in terms of opening day collections but Saturday is crucial as multiplex business has the potential to gain a lot of ground especially in North India. The does not have to show huge gains as the opening is decent but healthy growth would mean a good trend.

The opening day of the film is very similar to HEROPANTI released last year and that film went on to do 50 crore nett plus though it had a good window with no competition.
