WILL WELCOME BACK BE AS SUCCESSFUL AS WELCOME?

Welcome was one of the most commercially successful and loved films. Hence, when the sequel was launched, it generated excitement despite the absence of its two lead actors – Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. However the film took a bit too longer to be made. Also, reports started coming in that the film has gone overbudget and that the distributors are not ready to touch the film. The trailer moreover was okayish and even the songs haven’t really picked up, prompting many people to wonder if the makers have gone wrong with the sequel. What helps the film is that it’s the part two of a very successful franchise. Also, there’s no other film and with Phantom underperforming, Welcome Back will be having a wide release. The opening might not be earth-shattering but it won’t be bad either as such kind of films tend to open well with the masses. Reviews obviously will be bad for such kind of a film but if aam junta accepts the film, Welcome Back can turn out to be the surprise hit of 2015!
