Akshay Kumar is the perfect fit for Rustom-Neeraj Pandey

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey
announced that he would be teaming up with his favourite Bollywood
superstar Akshay Kumar once again for their upcoming romantic thriller
Rustom. This film is the third venture for this hit team, the first two
being Special 26 and Baby. Inspired by real life incidents, Rustom, that
is written by Vipul Rawal and directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, is being
co-produced by three giants. Neeraj will also be penning the dialogues
and co-writing the screenplay along with Vipul Rawal. Zee Studios has
bagged the music rights for the movie. Apart from Akshay , the film will
also feature two young actresses.
Speaking of the association, Akshay says, “Having worked with Neeraj on two fabulous projects, I am excited to start work on our new film. I am happy that Zee Studios is putting its might behind this film along with Kriarj Entertainment and Friday Filmworks. It gives me and the entire team confidence that our film will make its mark worldwide using the global might of all the producers.“
Commenting on the announcement, Neeraj says, “When Tinu narrated the scipt to us we immediately got hooked to the narrative. We decided that it was something that we would like to produce because we saw potential in it. We also felt that given the story, Akshay is the perfect fit and his agreeing to come on board will definitely give our film the canvas it requires.“
Shital Bhatia, Friday Filmworks, adds, “One of the other key elements that was central to our plan while green lighting this film was that to do justice to the story as this one is an international film traversing multiple countries and for this we definitely require good partners.“
Nittin Keni, CEO, Zee Studios says, “We are delighted to partner with Akshay, Neeraj and Kriarj. For us this is another key milestone for our aggressive foray into Bollywood. This film will release on August 12, 2016.“

The first schedule of the film commences mid-December, 2015. The unit will travel to multiple locations globally.
