Writer K V Vijayendra Prasad (director S S Rajamouli’s
father) has had a bumper year, with two of his scripts becoming
blockbusters — Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan — in spite of releasing
on two consecutive Fridays.
And Salman Khan, who worked with Vijayendra on Bajrangi Bhaijaan, doesn’t want to let go of this talent just yet. He has decided to do another film based on his new screenplay. The writer flew in to Mumbai from Chennai to narrate a brand new story to the actor
A source in the know says, “Salman loved the story narrated to him. He feels it has the potential to be another Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman will now scout for the right director for the film. It won’t be Kabir Khan this time.”
Vijeyendra confirmed the development, “Yes, Mr Khan really liked a story I narrated. But all I can tell you about the story is that it is again based on the concept of humanism above all other values.” And no, it isn’t an Indo-Pak drama.
Incidentally, Riteish Deshmukh and Varun Dhawan have also shown keen interest in Vijayendra Prasad’s scripts. Laughs the writer happily, “It’s okay. Bollywood is most welcome to my screenplays. I’ve 40-50 scripts ready.”
