His puppy love, Candy, wil keep him company

Randeep Hooda admits that he's been a Bohemian all his life and the only staple he's known is a stable. But now, he feels, it's time to put down his roots and be a son to his parents.

So, the actor, who's just returned from Malaysia after a rigorous shoot of Deepak Tijori's Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and is gearing up for the Toronto premiere of Deepa Mehta's Beeba Boys in September, has been house hunting for a few months now.

Actually, he wanted to buy the apartment he is currently renting. But since the owner is not interested in selling his "lucky" flat, Randeep has found another apartment in the same Versova high-rise, a few floors above.

"The canine pet, Candy, and I will move up but I'll continue to rent this pad for my parents. This way I can ensure that they are comfortable and my family is around me," he beams.

And now that he'll have his own home soon, isn't it time to start the hunt for a Mrs Hooda too? That query is answered by a guffaw, "Candy is quite enough for now, thank you."
