There were several rumours about the destination that
Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor went to, on her birthday (July 16). But
it now comes to light that the duo was in Austria and not London or Bali
as speculated. The duo went to The Original FX Mayr Health Center in
Austria, which helps people kick nicotine addiction.
It works!
Says a source, “Katrina had heard from Aditya Chopra about this health centre which had a certain type of treatment that made chain-smokers kick the butt completely. Adi and Rani had gone there to Mayr for detox, beauty and health sessions. When Kat heard about this place and how it had helped some smokers quit completely, she urged Ranbir to try it out. It is learnt that part of the treatment is to inject the smoker behind his/her ears. The injections makes a smoker quit smoking. Ranbir and Katrina flew off to the spa via Germany before her birthday and spent more than a week there. While Katrina did a few detox sessions, Ranbir took the stop-smoking injections. Now it’s almost three weeks and Ranbir has not smoked.”
How it works
One of the alternatives to fight smoking as a habit and contain chemicals that block nicotine receptors in the brain and reduce cigarette cravings, involves injections behind the ears. In another version of stop-smoking shots, small amounts of Vitamin B complex shots are used. The shot is administered on the principle of acupuncture (points on the earlobes and near the nose). The special support sessions you receive during these courses reduces the chance of returning to the habit again. The whole course is anything worth $400 (Rs 26000 approx) onwards.
