PHANTOM had a decent first day as it grossed 8.25 crore nett day as major cities managed to collect pretty well.  The collections in Mumbai and Delhi/UP were pretty solid with 2.75 crore and 1.75 crore nett respectively. Mysore also did well with around 50 lakhs nett.

The collections could have better in circuits like Gujarat, CP Berar and Bihar. Still it had a decent improvement in the evening and 8 crore nett plus number is a good result for the film especially from where it started the day. The opening is better than DRISHYAM and has also edged past BABY which were similar type of films and both had limited music.

Saturday is crucial for the film as it is Rakhsha Bandhan and the growth should be a bit more than normal. The film should be looking at a 30 crore nett weekend and can go higher if it can grow 40-50% on Saturday.
