Raksha Bandhan was
celebrated at Salman Khan's Bandra home on Saturday. Sister
Arpita Khan Sharma shared a picture, which was clicked by
Salman, showing the actor surrounded by his sisters. She captioned it, 'Chal selfie le le re...'.
Besides herself, the group included their cousins, Deeksha, Kavita and Natasha. “Every year, we sisters tie Bhai rakhi,“ says Arpita, adding that Salman's two Rakhi sisters, Shwetha and Shristi, were also part of the celebrations. Arpita who married Aayush Sharma, last November, has moved out of the family home into a sprawling apartment on Pali Hill. She admits that being blessed with three big brothers is the best feeling in the world.
“Bhai's love and protection is overwhelming. All three of my brothers are my strength, pride and confidence. I couldn't have asked for more and I can't think of life without them,“ she asserts. The sisters stuffed Sallu with mithai after tying him rakhis and Bhai reciprocated with gifts.
The 49-year-old actor, who is currently filming the last schedule of Sooraj Barjatya's romance drama, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, wore a white kurta pyjama. He took a day off from the aggressive action sequences to celebrate his relationship with his sisters. “Raksha Bandhan is a day to celebrate our bade bhaiyas,“ Arpita smiles. Then her face clouds over, “Alvira was out of town and could not make it. She is always present. Arbaaz bhai was travelling and I missed him the most.“
