Vir Das, who was in London
to attend the screening of his film, 31st October, which
premiered at the London Indian Film Festival, has extended his
trip by a week to work on his script, which revolves around a family
which dabbles in crime across generations. He admitted that the idea has
been sitting in the back of his head for a while. “I guess being in
London brought it out,“ he says.
He's completed another script but wants his career as a scriptwriter to
kick off with this one. “My company will produce the film with a pool of
other comic actors, like Adam Sandler and
Judd Apatow do in the West. I will act in it too, with other talents,“
says the actor.
Will he direct the film? “No, I'm acting in too many films to take time out for direction. That'll happen later,“ he says. “My first home production will have a fair amount of action too.“ he adds.
