Years ago, Raveena Tandon’s Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke (2004) had released without much fanfare after being stuck for a decade. Despite the presence of Shah Rukh Khan in it, the film looked dated and turned out to be a disaster. Now, the mast mast girl, will be seen (albeit fleetingly) in another stuck project of hers which is finally making it to theatre — 2 Chehare, a product of the 90s has been made over a period of 15-20 years.

“The film has Suniel Shetty in the lead and belongs to the era when he was making action films by the dozen. At the time when he and Raveena came together for films like Mohra and Dilwale. In fact, Ravs also made a guest appearance for Rakshak with the song Shehar Ki Ladki. This is when she signed up for 2 Chehare too,” informs our source.

Directed by Ashok Gaikwad, the film took ages in the making. What started as a film with Suniel Shetty and Shahtrughan Sinha went through multiple changes in its cast. Actors like Krishna Abhishek and Saahil Khan were roped in as well.

“It is a twisted 90s potboiler about change in identity through plastic surgery and the revenge drama that follows,” the source adds. “Raveena appears in only a hardcore 90s song, billed as a special appearance, adds the source”

At one point, the film was shelved. Now it has been revived. It hits the screens this Friday.
