Shahid and kareena have another shared connection: the ‘paanwala’ at their respective weddings

A special, innovative paan has been designed for Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput wedding in Delhi today. The paan made with imported dates from Dubai will contain a mixture of dryfruits, betelnut, elaichi, saunf and of course, the crushed betel leaf itself.

Supplied by Jaipur’s Annu Mobile Paan Bhandar, the paan is being made in three flavours — chandan, khus and gulab. Six hundred pieces of paan have been ordered for the shaadi.

“The wedding planner had come to my shop a few days ago. After tasting a variety of paans, we offered to make this special paan. At that time we only knew it was a high-profile wedding. It was only when the planner was leaving that I asked whose wedding it was and learnt it is Shahid’s,” says Annu. Incidentally, he was the one who supplied paan for Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan wedding too. No, it was not the same paan!

Since the Kareena-Saif wedding was in Nawabi style, the paan too was designed accordingly, with gold work and a rose.
