A little over a month
after the release of Welcome To Karachi, Vashu Bhagnani is
ready for a sequel, Welcome To Abu Dhabi. A comedy, it revolves around
two guys; Abu and Dhabi. “Forty percent of the script is ready, we
should lock the script in a few days. Eighty percent of the film will be
shot in Abu Dhabi. We have yet to finalise the director,“ he informs.
His son, Jackky Bhagnani, will once again play the lead while Lauren Gottlieb, who is currently judging a dance reality show, will return as his heroine. However, there will be one major casting change. Arshad Warsi won't be a part of the film. Buzz is, the duo fell out during the promotions of Welcome To Karachi. When quizzed on the subject, Vashu said shortly, “I don't want to talk about Arshad.“
Welcome to Abu Dhabi goes on the floors in December. Meanwhile, Vashu confirmed that work has also begun on the third instalment in the franchise. This one will be titled Welcome to London.
