Last year, Karan Johar announced that he was co-producing the remake of a French Film, The Intouchables with Guneet Monga. He had signed on Mohit Suri to direct the film and there were reports that Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Malhotra were in the running to play protagonists, but now, it is learnt that the film has been indefinitely postponed.
Our source reveals, “Mohit had a good track record with Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain and was heavily banking on Hamari Adhuri Kahani to work at the box-office. However, the film fared poorly. It was a poor script and a shoddily made film. Following that, Karan has decided to put the film on the backburner for the time being. He might revisit the film later.”
