While the world watch es Ethan Hunt and his team in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation on July 31, the Indian audience will have to wait another week for the Tom Cruise flick. Mirror has learnt that the Hollywood film's release has been pushed back by a week to August 7, to give a clear window to Nishikant Kamat's Ajay Devgn-Tabu cop thriller Drishyam which opens on July 31.

“Since both the films are being distributed by the same production house, it was decided that MI 5 would release here a week after its global release,“ reveals a source close to the development, adding that there was a strategy in place and the Hollywood flick took the hit in this case.

Adds the source, “Since, two big-budget action films releasing on the same day is not a good idea, it is a win-win situation when the parent company readily agrees to the shift in dates.“

However, the move has come as a surprise at a time when Hollywood biggies like Avengers: Age of Ultron are releasing in India a week before they hit the theatres in the US.
