Produced by T-Series and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, I Love NY is a musical romantic comedy which is releasing on July 3. Kangana Ranaut and Sunny Deol are the protagonists in the film which was supposed to release two years back. But now, the makers have decided to release the film to cash in on the popularity of the actress’ last hit, Tanu Weds Manu Returns. A source close to her reveals, “Kangana was shocked when she was informed that the film was releasing. It was conveyed to her by Bhushan Kumar that the film wasn’t upto the mark and therefore it wouldn’t release. It came as a shock to her when Bhushan decided to release the film. She even reached out to Bhushan to talk to him and ask him how they were randomly releasing the film without her permission. He assured her that the film wouldn’t release but now, he has gone ahead and announced the date. Kangana is obviously livid as she hasn’t seen the trailer or the rushes. In fact, she hasn’t even been asked to promote the film. If matters don’t get resolved, she will take legal action againt the makers and send them a notice.”
