John Abraham, who hasn’t had a release in two years, talks about what keeps him secure in his own space

Ever since his wedding to Priya Runchal, John Abraham has maintained a low profile. The actor whose last release was Madras Cafe, is in no tearing hurry to make an appearance anytime soon on screen. And while a lot of people would consider that to be detrimental to an actor’s career, John is of a completely different opinion. “My last release was Madras Cafe and it has been two years since I was last seen in a film. But I am glad, it’s that way. I don’t want to be on screen just for the sake of it. I am secure as an actor and these things about other actors having five and 10 releases in a year does not bother me.” But isn’t out of sight, out of mind? “Well, not for me, I have chosen to be out of sight. When someone tells me that I don’t have a PR, it makes me feel special because I don’t want to be in news unless I have something to talk about. When I have a film, I will talk about it but beyond that, I would never each out to anyone. I like to be away from all this because it works for me,” he explains.
