Arjun Kapoor talks about the much-used term for his bond with Ranveer Singh
Harshada Rege (DNA; June 18, 2015)
Ever since Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor shared
screen space in Gunday, much has been said and written about their
bromance. Their screen time apart, the two seemed to be having a ball
every time they came together. Whether it was Deepika Padukone’s party,
Karan Johar’s show, the AIB Roast that saw them on the hot seat at the
same time or making their debut as hosts together at IIFA this
year...they have proved to be a lot of fun to watch.
And obviously, their bonding on screen and off it, has been noticed by everyone. In Bollywood terminology, their ‘chemistry’ was just too good to ignore. And while Arjun, too, acknowledged that they gel well together, he has a problem with people calling it their chemistry. Talking about this word, he said, “Chemistry...it’s a word I hate for two friends. Ranveer and I, we were friends before we became actors and I think that’s why the communication that we had at that point of time, has carried on. Chemistry is not the word for it. What two friends have, is a bond. They have emotions towards each other, they have an understanding with each other. Whatever we have is primarily out of the fact that we know each other as people before we know each other as actors or stars. We know each others as individuals, and that allows you to be more comfortable with each other.”
