Cinema lovers, rejoice. India’s only travelling festival, the sixth Jagran Festival, is back with a bang. Aimed at bringing cinema closer to its lovers, the festival commences in Delhi and will be held from July 1, 2015 till July 5, 2015 at Siri Fort Auditorium. This year, the festival is centered on the theme of ‘Happiness’ and will travel through 17 cities over three months.

The opening day of the five-day festival will see films competing under categories such as ‘Indian Feature’, ‘Top Shorts’, ‘Jagran Shorts’, ‘Cinema of the sellers’ and ‘Debut Director’.

Besides offering a platform for films in the Jagran Premier category, the event will acknowledge the spirit of
old is gold in the ‘Retrospective’ section and also pay homage to one- of- its kind Hindi classics in the ‘Homage’ category. 'Top Shorts' category will feature films such as the silent film One Man, Eight Cameras, French films, Leftover and Your Heart at Random, Korean films, Hosanna and Minsu Kim in Wonderland, Dutch film, Démontable and Persian short film, Futile Garden among others. Under ‘Jagran Shorts’ a variety of global films such as Hiroshima (Indian), Gen X 01 (Hindi), Swedish films 600$ and Repestre, Vithya (Marathi), Arabic film Ailia and others compete for the coveted ‘Best Short Film’ title.

The Indian feature section will showcase Bollywood hits along with a few regional must- watch films including Toymaker (Malayalam), Chotoder Chobi (Bengali), Arohi (Assamese) and Postcard (Marathi) among others.
