Kareena Kapoor Khan did it
for Tashan. And now Tiger Shroff has joined the bandwagon of
Bollywood celebri ties who lost weight for a particular film.
The Heropanti actor is currently shooting for his second film,
Baaghi, and has lost eight kilos to look the part of a rebellious youth
in love.
Tiger had earlier developed impressive six pack abs for his debut film, Heropanti. Confirming the weight loss, the actor said, “Sabbir (Khan, the director) told me to lose weight as he wanted me to look leaner and boyish. It took me almost one and half months to lose eight kilos.“
The results did not come easy. It took Tiger a lot of hard work, sweat and self-denial to achieve his target. He explains, “I lost most of my weight because of the rehearsals I was doing for my projects. Also I did a lot of cardio activities like running on the treadmill in the gym.“
He admitted that he had to go on a strict diet and give up on mouth-watering desserts to achieve his goal. “I have eaten really less to lose the weight. I'm a big foodie and missed eating my favourite ice cream and chocolates for this particular role,“ says Tiger.
It seems like Tiger is giving his best to Baaghi, which is his second film and which sees him paired opposite Shraddha Kapoor. Baaghi is being directed by Sabbir Khan, who also helmed Tiger's debut film.
Sabbir too is doing his best to ensure that Tiger's look in Baaghi is a happy surprise for his fans. The makers of the film recently hired fifty security guards to protect the film's look from being leaked to the public.
