Nikhil Advani’s remake of Subhash Ghai’s musical blockbuster Hero, introducing Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, has again been postponed. July 3, which was announced as “most definite” release date for Hero now stands cancelled. Says a source associated to the project, “The holy month of Ramzan falls in July. A sizable section of the audience abstains from seeing movies during that period. And Hero is a Salman Khan production. He has his own film Bajrangi Bhaijaan coming up for Eid. It has now been decided to release Hero in the first week of September.” This is the fourth postponement of this highly awaited film’s release date, and the biggest beneficiaries are the two other films that were lined up for July 3, namely Ken Ghosh’s XXX and Subhash Kapoor’s Guddu Rangeela.
