Dharmendra, 79, came
to Mumbai at the age of 23 after winning the All India
Filmfare talent contest and became a superstar. 56 years later, Dharamji
still remains one of the most handsome stars and a man of pure gold,
who is loved by not only his family dearly, but also by the industry
and his millions of fans. There has been news about his health and
while Hema Malini tweeted about Dharamji's discharge from Breach Candy
Hospital and him being fine, he spoke exclusively to us: “Three months
back while shooting, while getting into my vanity van, I skipped a step
and fell. I had pain and was unable to rotate my right arm and came to
know that my rotator needed to be operated on. A few days back, I was
feeling weak as my haemoglobin had dropped to 9 and was
admitted in Breach Candy for two days for a checkup. But I am back home
now and am so grateful to my fans and the media for their concern about
my health. I became emotional seeing their concern. I am fighting, but
by God's grace I am totally fit and fine. I need to dub for my film
Second Hand Husband where I play a flirtish kind of character after
which I will get my shoulder operated. Dilip Kumar sahab inspired me to
get into films. And now Clint Eastwood is my inspiration as he said that
he will work upto the age of 105. And I am sure I will follow that.''
