Akshay Kumar is one actor, who has never used body
doubles. Whether it is leaping off from buildings or choppers, the actor
does it all himself. We now hear that though he refuses body doubles
and saves the producer a packet, he does ask for an accident cover.
Reportedly, Akshay was insured under a personal accident policy of Rs 35
crore bought by his own production banner Hari Om Entertainment and
Sunshine Pictures for Holiday. Apparently, this is the highest cover any
celebrity has ever availed for their films. In fact, superstars like
Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan don’t even ask for accident cover for
themselves. But production houses generally buy a cover of `5-10
lakhs for every crew member for any accidents that happen during the
shoot. It also goes for the medical expenses if any. Reportedly, the
actor also has an accident cover of `20 crore for Airlift which is presently getting shot.
