Joining the list of Indian
celebrities who have been on the panel of international
film festivals is Vishakha Singh. She has been invited to be on the jury
of one of Rome's biggest film festivals for independent Italian and
European filmmakers, Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF).
In the past, we've seen the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Nandita Das on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival. This time around, Vishakha, who attended the Cannes Film Festival last year as part of the producers' network, has been invited for the 15th edition of RIFF. Heralded by Fabrizio Ferrari, it will be held between May 7 and 15.
Apart from having acted in films like Fukrey and Bajatey Raho, she is also an independent film producer. An excited Vishakha says, “I am delighted at this invite. To be on the same panel as eminent directors, journalists and producers from Europe is quite an honour. I think it would be interesting to see how my Indian perspective helps in contributing at this global forum.“
